These bikes are brilliant. Finally someone is putting some thought and design values into kids bikes. These bikes use a light weight alloy frame (so they're not heavier than a full size bike - hooray!) which makes them easy for kids to handle. The wheels are large which makes them smoother to ride BUT they haven't used 'tractor tyres' that you find on some kids bikes - instead you get good quality medium width tyres that wont wear out young legs. Saftey is paramount with kids bikes and these have an excellent system of v-brakes combined with a foot brake so while your kids are developing the skills to use v-brakes they still have the added safety of a foot brake.

These bikes also feauture stable handling thanks to:

a) a low centre of gravity thanks to the way the frame is designed. This gives kids more confidence on the bike as they aren't perched up too high

b) long wheel base. The slightly elongated frame design keeps the bike ultra stable when rolling so kids don't feel like they are trying to steer a roller skate.
